Winding down from VegNet’s Gourmet Vegan Thanksgiving event at Common Table. It went about as well as we could have hoped – a full house, ample amounts of scrumptious food, spirited conversation, and great stories. The chef, new to both Common Table and to vegan cooking, did an outstanding job with the recipes we provided her. And Common Table was even careful to check the wine against the Barnivore list. Tonight followed on the tail of Wednesday’s annual Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck. That event was just as enjoyable – a good turnout, great food, an interesting and compassionate speaker (Asante Riverwind) – overall a nice vibe.
This Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for multiple opportunities to share cruelty free meals with family, friends, and the public.
