Totally posed photo, of a very real late night snack, on a super cold and snowy early winter night (including uncooperative parrot). Pepparkarkor (Swedish Gingersnaps) are one of my all time favorite store-bought cookies. I pick up one of these decorative tins nearly every year from World Market. One of these years I’m going to do something creative with the tins—any suggestions? I’ve thought about making a “tin ceiling” out of the lids and also my oodles of Twinings tea lids as well.
Note: If you can hold out, usually the tins are ½ price after Christmas. And these cookies are so thin that they never seem to go stale—they’ll last until way past any trace of snow. Like there are going to be any left, right?
